Bowness-on-Windermere

Bowness-on-Windermere is a town located in the South Lakeland district of Cumbria and is one of the most popular destinations within the Lake District. The arrival of the railway line in 1847 brought a multitude of visitors to Bowness, which led to the expansion of the Bowness along with the creation of Windermere town. It is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England.
