Good sized bedrooms

When we spoke to other accommodations on the street, we were told that our hosts should have sorted out parking permits for us. We had to pay to park 3 cars for the full 5 days.

Boiler didn't work on ground & 1st floor, reported on the day we got there and they kept promising an engineer but none came. No hot water on those floors for 5 days. Children and elderly couldn't climb up to the 2nd floor so brushed with cold water!

VERY tiny toilets, not at all suitable for people with reduced mobility.

We were provided with 3 rolls of toilet paper between 10 people for 5 days!
Several shower rooms with no complete bathroom (toilet, sink, shower/bath)

No toothbrush holders or shelves in bathrooms

No bins anywhere in the house but kitchen.

Attic room window wouldn't shut

No bin liners provided for the kitchen bin

No waste paper baskets anywhere

Outside bin was full to the top before we got there so had to leave rubbish bags in the garden.
One roll of toilet tissue per toilet

Bath in top bathroom not fully secured, stood on wooden blocks, one of which is broken
Misleading description

kitchen VERY poorly equipped: No kitchen towel, no mixing bowl, no jug, no bin bags, no foil/cling film, aquarter bottle of washing up liquid left so we had to buy our own, no dishwasher pods

Outdoor dining area unusable as it was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in months

Attic basin had no mixer taps and the hot water tap was VERY hot
Poor water pressure in attic taps and next to none when 2nd floor tap was in use.

No working clocks

Horrible, lumpy mattresses with dips in so many of us had back issues!

Pillows all VERY high, not comfortable for sleeping.

No vanity mirror in most rooms and many wardrobes had no hangers.

I messaged the host to check in ONE hour earlier than planned. The message showed new time as 'confirmed' but when we got there, we were told it had to be the old check in time as the cleaning wasn't finished.

Location very good
Nice spacious house
Clean

Needs the finishing touches round pipe work and plastering and screws tightening in things, curtains hanging fully. Bath in top bathroom to be properly secured , not balanced on wooden blocks.
Boiler stopped working and took too long to get answers from company, and waiting for call backs so had no hot water for 2 days .

Could be a nice place to stay if all issues did not occur.

It was a good space, nice sized rooms.

We had multiple issues with the property. When we arrived the water was turned off and some of the electrics had tripped.
I reported it immediately, maintenance came out the following afternoon.
A curtain pole fell down during the night, again maintenance came out the following afternoon.
The property was not finished to a high standard.
The property was below my expectations for cleanliness.

House needs a few things fixing, holes in the wall, no curtains in some rooms, trim coming off kitchen cupboards. None of this was a problem, however the 20+ bin bags stacked in the garden were quite concerning. we couldn't use the garden and the smell was bad. Host said they'd sort it but then didn't pick up the phone again. I got a few messages from them saying they'd sort it, but they never did. Got a partial refund through Airbnb but it did put a downer on the family weekend away. We left a day early in the end.

The house is very large and accommodates a lot of guests, it is close to the beach and the port.

Unfortunately, despite the assurances, the defects that were mentioned in the previous opinion have not been removed, such as a falling railing by the stairs, there is still no curtain in one of the rooms, the garden was full of unremoved garbage left by previous guests. The bed in one of the rooms is dismantled and sways so much that I'm afraid to sit on it. The shower in one of the bathrooms is falling off the wall.
I agree that the house has huge potential, you just need to take care of it, repair any defects and clean it.

The house has potential to be a good stay but there were so many issues that we felt quite uncomfortable. To be fair we didn’t message host at the time, but it was New Year’s Eve so we just wanted to make most of it for the short stay. Issues included:
No curtains in one bedroom (rail completely off, we had to attach a curtain to window to block light)
Master bedroom not cleaned (dirty cotton pads and bits of litter on floor)
1st floor bathroom very dusty with bits of electrical wire discarded in bath, broken lamp on floor by bath.
1st floor shower tray leaking
Top floor bathrooms completely unusable as only had scolding hot water
Carbon monoxide detector built in battery run out so beeping constantly
Lack of plugs in bedroom - there are bedside lamps but a shortage of bedside tables and no plugs to plug them into.
Electrics fuse tripped multiple time
Lack of bins
Small things like clocks with no batteries, heating at 9c on arrival etc, overall just not very homely at al
