Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Would recommend it to anyone! We will 100% come back again if we are in the area. Really lovely house and cleaned to a high standard. Everything that you need was in the house. The quality of the furniture was amazing.

Excellent location to visit Beamish. A beautiful well equipped, spacious and clean property with room to park two cars. Very comfortable bed in the main bedroom. One bedroom with excellent ensuite bathroom and one bedroom with ensuite shower room and also a downstairs toilet.

The second bedroom bed was hard and uncomfortable and due to the wooden footboard not really suitable for tall people. There were no written instructions available for the microwave and so three reasonably intelligent adults were unable to work out how to use it! Not even any instructions available online. Anybody arriving with "ping ping" meals would have been very disappointed.
At the time of booking it was made clear by the information from booking.com that there would be a fully refundable security deposit of £450. Fair enough. There was one single mention of an administration charge for this if you read every single word of the small print by Host & Stay. However, nowhere was there any mention of an actual amount of £10 for the administration fee of the security deposit. The details of this only became clear once we had committed to our booking and the whole of the cost of the property had been charged to our credit card by Host & Stay. A small amount in the scheme of things but never-the-less a cheeky hidden charge.

A beautiful property with first class furnishings and amenities.
The only downside was that none of us were able to download wifi.
We called the management company who advised that details were emailed.
Unfortunately without wifi or a phone signal ( no service )we were not able to access the information.
Otherwise a comfortable stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Butterfly Cottage. As well as being in a perfect location the house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and had all the required amenities. The parking with the property was also great. We would highly recommend the property and would have no reservation about returning in the future.
