We had a fabulous stay at Loftus. The house was perfect for our requirements. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have the shower or bath option in the spacious bathroom.
A few minor cosmetic things but they did not affect our stay at all.
We loved Yorkshire and would happily return to this property.

The home was exactly as described.
The beds were comfortable and clean, with loads of hangers for clothes.
The living room / dining room smelt quite musky, they have plenty of air fresheners, de humidifiers to try and resolve this issue, but I felt necessary to open the windows.
Plenty of cooking equipment and utensils available, albeit no coffee machine, but coffee pods?
Co-op and willow bakery down the road as well as antique shop. I had no issues parking, and parked off the main road.
Easy to travel to Robin hoods bay, Whitby, Staithes, and saltburn on sea. So I would recommend for a base if you are doing a West Yorkshire trip.
The Airbnb listing states its dog friendly and has no detail regarding restrictions, however once you book you get further detail that they have to stay in a cage downstairs, not allowed upstairs and can’t go on the furniture, so on reflection I wouldn’t of booked if I had this information prior, so no good if your dog has separation anxiety.

Didn't like having the insurance and other charges sprung on us after booking

It was clean

They said it was pet friendly.. but pets weren't allowed anywhere so it wasn't. Though they kept a cage in the back. Obviously never owned a pet in their life!! Animals in the zoo belong in cages, not family pets. Shower drain was blocked . No instructions on washing drier after arriving on damp bedding. Quilt was a heavy winter quilt, area was like the back of beyond with no local amenities. Spray smellies gave my dog an illness which resulted in a £118 vet bill and trip to Middlesbrough pets at home emergency vets.

The free view was disconnected, fixed it myself. Back door key was impossible to open.

And neighbours decided to cut the properties grass as 8am Sunday morning... setting my dogs off barking which then set the hoarder neighbour the other way's dog kick off. most ridiculous stay ever and not worth the price never mind the extra agro.

After finding out from friends who live in Redcar that the area of Loftus is crime ridden. I had already got that vibe after a drive to the not so local Morrisons"

Whole experience and the hidden fees have put me off holiday homes for life. Never again! At least in a hotel there's no ridiculous "cleaning fees, or damage waiver deposits"

Lots of little extras, such as drinking items, condiments toilet rolls, cleaning products and an ama ing range of cooking instruments!

Not enough stable seating in lounge area!

Tv needs to go on the chimney breast wall, get rid of that additional furniture and replace with extra sofa or grandfather chairs!

Bbq out in courtyard, wall baskets and some chairs or even cushion to go on flattened walk area!

Thanks
