Great location, close to the beach, train and bus stations. Plenty of space for 4 couples, very comfortable. Well appointed with loads of plates, mugs, glasses etc.

Very noisy, floorboards all sanded and no carpets. Main thing though was the £500 deposit we had to pay the week before and won’t get back for up to two weeks after our break and on top of that they take a £15 transaction fee. It’s a complete rip off. I would never stay again or use Host and Stay.

Very spacious, bright and comfortable. The furniture and appliances are all great which made for a very good stay.

A small piece of grass would be helpful for pets. The stones are very uncomfortable to walk on for all concerned.

Stayed here as three families and really was a home from home! Pictures don’t do justice for the space and the location was perfect with only short 10min walk to beach and 15 back with the hill! As three families specifically liked the arcades, miniature railway and local red car racing family day which was a short train ride away!
Only minor points as run by agent had some issue with delayed check in info due to crossed wires (no more than a phone call to sort) and that amenities didn’t quite match up but more to our benefit as didn’t lists cots/high chairs as available but we found two of each under the stairs so knowing this would have been helpful pre arrival! Generally host very responsive and provided lots of info for local area and house information on arrival.
Had a fantastic week and certainly will be back! Such a beautiful part of the country.

Good spacious lounge and kitchen for 10 folks.
Only problem was the noise from the macerator in the top floor bathroom. Echoed round all the bedrooms , probably made worse as no carpets. From the photos thought there was more outside space than actually available.
Saltburn on Sea is a great place for a family and friends holiday.

This is a well appointed and spacious home, with plenty of space for six adults and four children. Lovely rooms with high ceilings - however, this does mean that the internal stairs are very steep. With no toilet facilities on the ground floor this could be a drawback for some, as could the noise generated by children running up and down uncarpeted stairs and hallways! The outside yard area was not really usable during our stay but everything inside was comfortable and well equipped. Good quality spotless linen on all of the beds, which were all comfortable, and the doubles were actually Superking size which was a nice surprise! Plenty of crockery and cutlery in the kitchen and reasonably well equipped with utensils. I think however that the hosts could have been more generous with items such as dishwasher tablets (two provided for a three night stay for 10 people) and hand soap (two miniscule bars of soap across three wash hand basins). Felt a bit mean given the price we paid!

ONLY BOOK THIS PROPERTY IF YOU ARE HAPPY TO PAY ADDITIONAL CHARGES ON TOP OF AIRBNB'S.
The house is lovely, well equipped and clean. It's close to the sea and main street for shopping. My wife and her family enjoyed their stay for her birthday. The owners should be really proud of this property, but less so of their managing agents who will force you into giving them a £250 deposit which they promise to hold onto for several weeks, and charge you £10 for arranging. The alternative is or to purchase accidental damage insurance

This property was perfect. Lovely house, with great kitchen, two really nice bathrooms and every bedroom stylishly furnished and very comfortable. It had everything we needed, easily catering for 7 guests. It is a very well thought out holiday home which we would love to return to.

Lovely location and really nice house. Simple amenities in the house could have been better, e.g toilet roll running out after 1 night, no salt and the bins in the courtyard we're full to the brim. Also a bit disappointed that there was no boxes for recycling glasses, we were expected to take bottles up to the local supermarket to get them recycled. We thought this would be easier considering the cost per night. Other than that it was a lovely location with all amenities close by and a great town for a short break. House was very clean and decorated to a really high standard.

Had a fabulous 4 day break at the Hidden Gem . The house was gorgeous, homely and beautifully presented. The location was perfect , just a stone's throw from the beach which made all the different to us. Host and stay were great , offering us a 10% discount for our next stay ,, we plan to return regardless but that is a lovely bonus ?

The house was amazing! We loved our stay in Saltburn (my husband was born in Redcar, lived half his life in Middlesbrough and has family from Scarborough to Middlesbrough - and he’s been in the US for over 30 years). The location and space was perfect for a small family reunion with an absolutely incredible dinner party for 12! The kitchen was equipped with everything anyone could need - the beds were lovely - the bathrooms plentiful etc etc etc! We will certainly be booking this home as often as possible to continue visiting from the US and sharing time with family from the northeast! Thank you, Sharon and Tony Shellard
