We liked the spacious accommodation , the woodland walk gardens, well equipped kitchen. Everything made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Very pleasant hosts.
Would recommend bringing a car although with the bus stop being right outside we managed very well.
It was a home from home...very cosy, books on the bookshelves etc.

The property was in a great location to explore Alnwick and beyond.
It was warm, cosy and homely. Plenty of hot water and comfy bed.
Nice touches such as teabags and milk left.
Would stay again.

The property isn’t the most modern in terms of appliances and furnishings- we didn’t mind that however as it was lovely and homely.

Though it had been mentioned, we found the distance from the car to the premises difficult as we both walk very badly

Hidden fee warning! Host and stay make you pay a £25 damage waiver after booking and as the bookings are non refundable you have to pay - never experienced anything like this on airbnb, hence the low rating.
Place was nice enough, decent location. However, you will have people in the rooms directly above you. The building is reasonably old so if they are being noisy and you are trying to sleep (as we experienced) it can be a bit tough going.

We had a really wonderful weekend in the Lower Lodge - it's such a perfect base for exploring Alnwick and the coast. The kitchen is really well appointed; the shower is excellent (water pressure and temp); and the bedroom and lounge are really comfortable. It is a beautiful space - so quiet and peaceful - and easily walkable into Alnwick (past Barter Books!). Also - for exploring further - it's really easy to get to the M1 and up the coast. Really easy communication with the hosts as well. We arrived to a lovely tray of tea, hot chocolate, and a box of 'Canadian Maple Syrup' granola bars (we are Canadians), which was a sweet touch (and fueled our hikes on the weekend!). There's also lots of information about the area in the flat, which was really helpful as we'd not been to Alnwick before.
