The accommodation was lovely in a peaceful area, parking at front, spotlessly clean (thank you cleaner), initial tea, coffee, sugar and sachet milk appreciated.
Lovely toiletries in bathroom, fluffy towels, bath mat, amusing toilet roll nice touch.
Bed super comfy with fluffy quilt and two good pillows, bedding beautifully clean, liked the blankets on the bed for hot or cold weather.
Liked the blankets on back of furniture to cuddle in.
Loved the kitchen blinds, utensils, washing machine.
Liked the kitchen pack dish cloth, sponge, tea towel.
Amazing shower.
Nice little enclosed garden with table/bench and BBQ available if like that sort of thing.
TV streaming system and WiFi good.
Would definitely recommend and use again if over that way

First lady on our booking , after explaining of the traumatic morning/day we had, was very un caring and stand offish which was not nice and originally husband did not want to continue with the booking , as booking. Com had seriously dropped the ball on supporting us when another accommodation let us down last minute . Non of this accommodations fault so I rang back and a nicer lady helped book us in .
Could not find hair dryer and no kitchen sink plug which I did report a few times but resorted to using kitchen foil to block sink to wash pots.
The living room door handle was loose so pushed it back in but needs tightening by a handy man properly.
Did not use online information as we prefer paper information.
Could do with initial washing machine detergent, pegs for the washing line and a torch for garden at night and more hangers in main bedroom.
Don't think a security waiver should be charged as breakages should be covered in insurance that all holiday lettings should take out.

These are not complaints, more pointers for things that could make the stay better as we liked the house very much , felt homely and peaceful so would definitely stay again

The house was perfect. We had an issue with the bed in the box room and it was fixed no problem also. The location was excellent for where we needed to be. The area was very nice. Would definitely use this accommodation if returning next year

Starting with the positive, the location is very good, a short walk from town centre. The lounge was comfortable and tv had a good selection of channels by the looks of it. Outside in the garden was a picnic bench and a bbq, but we didn't use them (visiting for a wedding). The bedrooms were ok, but the ridge in the double bed in rear bedroom was something to be avoided. Shower was hot and easy to use with good flow.

The property itself, overall, was pretty disappointing, the kitchen appeared well equipped although we only really used fridge and kettle. For a house with 5 beds it was disappointing to find only 3 breakfast bowls and 4 small plates. When we took the cups out of the rack we found bits of dirt in several also. There was a burn mark on the drawers immediately to the left of the oven and the laminate had melted, I reported this straight away, it may have already been fixed but we didn't know.

The overall decorative state was very poor, the bathroom was the worst. The bathroom was dirty, the skirting board filthy, stains on the door inside dirty, fluid marks or whatever, the sealant around bath was totally mouldy, sink hot tap worked back to front and was loose. Cleanliness, well if you like spotless, this isn't for you, some good bits some poor, but we felt it wasn't very clean.

We took this only after our other booking was cancelled at short notice, Grade 2 Georgian Apartment, Central Market Place, Barnard Castle, after we booked, so beware of that place also, this house costs more but was not worth it.

If the bathroom was renovated, oven door (burning) fixed, rear double bed replaced and it was better value we might consider a return, but at this moment in time I would never consider booking it again.

As for Host and Stay, helpful enough but too many messages, also the £25 insurance should be in the cost of the house. again.

Good stay for what we wanted which was to be close to a local wedding venue. House is close to centre of town and lots of restaurants and shops as well as a being in a quiet residential area.
House was clean with everything we needed for a brief stay. Host was in touch often and we were given clear instructions and contact numbers when needed.
