The area is characterised by wide open landscapes, big skies, and far-reaching countryside views that create a sense of space and tranquillity. The neighbourhood is known for its close-knit and friendly atmosphere, with a very small population that adds to its charm. While Bonnington itself has limited amenities, nearby villages such as Aldington provide essential services including shops, schools, and local pubs, all within a short drive.

From here, you can reach wider areas such as London, making day trips quick and easy. Bus services operate in the surrounding area, linking Bonnington with neighbouring villages such as Aldington and onward to Ashford, although services can be limited, so a car is recommended for maximum flexibility.

While the stay was fine. I probably wouldn’t stay again. The furniture was dated and terribly stained. Cobwebs absolutely everywhere, the bedding was clean. Terribly hot yet unable to open some windows/doors. Something that can not be helped by the host was the amount of spiders. Large spiders the size of my fist. Not with spindly legs, large and chunky. We (my husband) removed 18 on the first day and a half - that was just the big ones. We let the littles stay. So unfortunately not great if you have a spider phobia and don’t fancy panic attacks every day and night. Host was very responsive yet respectful of our space while we were there and delivered us fresh apple juice and eggs. This is not intended to be a bad review as our stay was fine, i personally would not have booked it if I’d known some of the things beforehand. We have stayed in many other rural homes without quite so many visable spiders. Maybe pop a few bowls of cookers out? Thanks
We had a lovely two night stay in order to attend a wedding in the area. The accommodation was great, just what we needed, and the surrounding area was really beautiful too. The accommodation is tucked away off the main road but the host gave very clear instructions and it was easy to find. Would definitely recommend, thanks!
