The cottage is located in central Broadstairs not far from the seafront.

Nothing,everything was satisfactory.

Great location. Perfect size.

Stairs were challenging. Needed to be very sure footed.

Beautiful cottage right in the middle of a busy and vibrant Broadstairs town, so close to the beach! We loved our stay at this cottage, it’s very cute and nice little garden. The staircase walking up with interesting, a bit too narrow and wonky but didn’t cause us too much problem.
I was not in favour of what felt like a hidden cost after we booked the space. The no -refunds of waiver and a large refundable deposit situation left me feeling a bit disappointed. This should be stated clearly before booking. Other than that, all good.

Location was very central

There was a musty/damp smell. The bedroom duvet was too warm for summer and one of the bedside lights didn’t work.

This home was lovely and exactly as described. The location was unmatched, close to the beach, bars, restaurants etc.
The little courtyard was lovely to sit in and enjoy the sun! The house also had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this place!

A great location. Bed was comfortable. The steep stairs didn’t bother us and were not an issue for us. Nice to have a small outside space in the centre of town.

The location is simply perfect. Super close to the beach and all the bars and restaurant but it is very quiet.
The cottage is super cute and it has everything you need for a weekend stay or even longer.
All very easy getting there as it is super close to the train station also and the keys are in a key box.

The stairs are super steep so, definitely not fit for someone with mobility issues.
The bed is very small and the duvet was so heavy, I had to change it to a blanket.
Apart from that we really liked it.

Lovely cottage

Pity about the £250 deposit, where a £10 fee is charged. A lot of fuss about nothing.

The location was perfect. Well equipped. Very nice, quaint little cottage.

The stairs were very difficult to negotiate, although got used to them after a couple of days. Rather a damp musty smell when we first arrived. May have been empty for a while.

We had a great stay here, hosts were really friendly and helpful. House is on a quite road in center of town and only 5 mins to beach! Great stay for a little getaway. Small yard at the back was nice for morning coffee and breakfast too.

A very comfortable and well appointed cottage that has been sensitively restored.
A real home fro home.

Staircase didn't cause us a problem but it is very steep

The location and cleanliness of the property.

The top step on the staircase needs to be bridged from the bedroom to the opposite floor to the bathroom.
A banister rail needs to be installed on the right of the steep and narrow staircase replacing the length of themed rope.

My new favourite seaside escape home! Absolutely wonderful cottage, spotlessly clean, about 1 minute walk to the seafront, situated near loads of great restaurants. The interior is very cosy and welcoming with a real seaside feel. Lots of plants and cool décor, felt right at home. I loved it so much I stayed an extra night. Needless to say I will be back very soon! Highly recommend ! - Netflix on the tv was a bonus too :)

We loved staying here - great location and everything you need for two people. Even a little washing line out the back to hang your swimming gear after going in the sea :)

We have stayed here twice now, just out of the way for the main road but still so close to everything. Cosy, clean and comfortable it's ideal for a staycation.

There were some issues with the website being used for the security deposit - it appeared to have taken the amount twice but with no progression to provide check in details, but we were contacted and provided everything we needed the day before. All was correct by the day we checked in.

Lock box problem and we are experienced with them. House was clean and well equipped. Issues (after agreeing stairs are steep) treads are very narrow - have to use side steps. Should have been pointed out access from bedroom to bathroom involved 4 steps to get to bathroom and 2 more steps to get into bathroom. This was not good - particularly during night. Bathroom itself is on different levels.
Disappointed with lighting. One useless bulb on a cord is no good for reading/finding way around during the night!

Everything was lovely. Clean and in a good location.

The stairs were so steep they were really dangerous and so easy for someone to fall down and hurt themselves

Gary

location,cosy,courtyard

top of the stairs between bedroom & bathroom was dangerous especially at night due to uneven flooring

The location was excellent, close to the beach and restaurants.

The fact that there isn’t any parking and the check out time of 10am. We were told we must be out at 10am as the cleaners would be arriving. My husband went to walk to the station to collect the car, I waited outside the property with our bags. At 10:40 when we left the cleaners had not arrived. Therefore, why the insistence of being out at 10am? Felt a bit rushed. Also the stairs in the cottage are extremely narrow and steep.

The location is perfect. Tucked away just behind the High Street and close to the beach. Beautiful home with quiet surroundings.

Perfect location a stones throw from the beach. The place is comfortable enough however the stairs are a bit of a death trap (I say that as a fit/young(ish) person). If you get up in the night it’s a real hazard as the top stair is cut out meaning you could easily fall down. You can guess from the fact there’s a rope rather than bannister that it’s a bit like abseiling upstairs. Sadly the log burner wasn’t available to use which was a shame. The hosts are a company so response was slow but otherwise was an easy experience.

very nicely decorated, convenient and clean. Quirky as you would expect for a cottage. Wi-Fi was excellent and nice shower.

Not really a dislike, but as others have mentioned, you have to approach stairs with caution. Once you get used to them they are fine, but perhaps not suitable for restricted mobility.

Great location.

Sadly the smell of damp and stale air hits you on entering and lingered throughout our stay even with windows and rear door open to get a change of air. Moreover the very very steep stairs (which are vaguely mentioned in the description) and the very precarious steps to the bathroom from the bedroom (especially at night) were very scary.

Excellent location. Near to centre of town and beach.

Not a great start as lock box code had been changed and we couldn’t open it. Agents were quick to get back to me though and supply the correct code.
And the seagulls are better than any alarm clock but a little earlier than required!

It was clean and very well equipped and mostly comfortable.

The stairs were very steep and very narrow no good for anyone with a mobility problem ie: bad knee, there were steep steps in the bathroom you had to step down into the bathroom and then step up to the toilet in a very confined space not ideal and very precarious at night. This wasn’t made clear in the description and did impact our stay. There was anti social behaviour outside and it was quite noisy at night as there is a large pub only 50m away.

In the most perfect location for the beach and town (3 mins walk downhill at most!) the cottage was ideal for us. Perfectly equipped kitchen and very comfortable living room and bedroom, the bathroom also has a stunning shower and great sized bath. The cottage location also means it does not get sun in the windows so the ground floor stays lovely and cool in the day time. Can't wait to come back.

The stairs are a little steep and the top step took particular effort in the morning/before bed. But that is being nitpicky. As we stayed during the hottest days of the year we were glad we had travel fans as there was not one one in the cottage which would have been a godsend at night.

Location was great close to the beech and down a very quiet side street.
Everything you need for a quiet cosy getaway.

Unfortunately the stairs were a little steep for us, other than that nothing.
The booking site said there would be a coffee maker but there was not.

Lovely little cottage and great hosts. Excellent communication and cleanliness. If you're visiting in the winter, our only tip would be to bring some slippers and plenty of layers - as it is a beautiful old building it can get chilly downstairs on very cold nights. Great value and would definitely recommend. Right in the centre of Broadstairs.

The location was great, lots of nice quirky little shops in broadstairs and very close to many bars pubs cafes and restaurants

, The parking is a bit of a hassle but it wasn't too far away, also the stairs in the cottage were treacherous if anyone has mobility issues. We're only in our 50s but it was a very steep staircase even for us.

A beautiful, cozy cottage situated close to beach and restaurants / shops. We had a lovely stay over Christmas and really enjoyed the woodburner!
We parked at the station carpark and got a weekly ticket - the one at the front of the station, not at the back.

Cosy, clean little cottage perfectly located. Lovely comfortable bed! Would happily stay here again. Hosts very helpful. Thanks!
Tip: We parked at the station a weekly ticket cost £16.40 (July 2021) saved having to worry about buying new ticket every day.
