Neighborhood
Located in the Snowdonia region of Wales, Caernarfon offers plenty to do right on your doorstep. The UNESCO World Heritage site, Caernarfon Castle, is a must see for visitors. Built in the 13th century, the castle was, and still is, the real pick of attractions in the town.

Take a leisurely stroll down town’s historic narrow streets, or enjoy the natural beauty of the recently redeveloped waterfront. Other nearby attractions include the Welsh Highland Railway which runs to Porthmadog, and the Waterside Victoria Dock gallery which is home to contemporary arts.

Take a short trip outside of Caernarfon and you’ll be surrounded by the stunning Snowdonia National Park. With land spreading across 823 square miles, this is Wales biggest, and arguably most impressive national park. There is something for everyone to discover at every turn in the various picturesque towns and villages, and within the moorland.

If an active holiday is what you’re after, you’ll find plenty of nearby sites to enjoy such as Caernarfon Golf Club, Arfon Tennis Centre, the Royal Welsh Yacht, and the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre.

Getting Around
Caernarfon is within driving distance of all that Snowdonia has to offer so you’ll be well located for exploring the region.

Bangor train station is roughly 20 minutes away from Caernarfon and has regular routes to Colwyn Bay and Wrexham in North Wales, as well as Cardiff and Newport in the South. You can also cross the border to Chester, Crewe and Shrewsbury.

Hop on the 5/5A/5B bus route which travels to Bangor and Llandudno.

Outstanding location inside of the city walls. House nearly perfectly set up for guests with water bottles, snacks, ideas on things to do.

There was not enough toilet paper provided for our family of five for three nights.

The apartment is very clean and tidy. It is conveniently located for reaching out to nearby restaurants on foot and for driving to some scenic spots within a reasonable distance.
We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset with sea view within two minutes' walk from the apartment. However, as we have six persons living in this apartment, it will be good if two parking permits could be arranged for tenants upon request. Although we could still find free parking spaces nearby during 4:00pm to 10:00am, it would be less convenient and flexible for us.

Clean and tidy and great location for the town. Short walk away to the bus station so easy to access routes to local areas without having to drive.

A lovely apartment in a great town-centre location. The interior is very well-equipped with high quality furniture and appliances. Very comfortable stay, with everything we needed laid on, and more, a generous gift basket on arrival and a well-stocked kitchen. Professionally cleaned, with nothing looking tired or worn out. Good communication too, with quick and clear responses to our questions.
The only trouble with this stay was the admin costs were quite high for a short stay. £90 for cleaning, £250 deposit and £10 deposit admin fee (or alternatively £30 for insurance) would probably seem reasonable for a week or two-week stay, but for a few days, it adds up to a large amount relative to the accommodation fee. I guess this is due to being part of a larger company rather than a private host.

It is a great place to stay in the heart of the town. Very close to the castle and town center. Parking close is a bit of a pain but they do offer parking a 10 minute walk away! Overall great experience.

Gostamos da localização.

We had to pay for parking during our stay at Host and Stay apartment 1 High Street Caernarfon as the staff were unable to resolve the issue. Parking was supposibly included in the rental. We spent a lot of time trying to resolve the issue over the phone and emails. Staff have contacted us back, but always responded to by different people, who apparently didn't talk to each other. Anyway, we spent £74 on parking and apparently we won't be reimbursed. This review is so negative for these two reasons: I paid double to park my car and my fair demands were not met. Terrible customer service! And this is the worst that can happen!

Great location and attentive hosts. Minutes to come decent restaurant and high street. The castle and boardwalk are also very close by. Parking was also a breeze. Lots to do for little kids as well.

Wi-Fi is not the greatest. Only works in the living room and bedroom at the front.

The location is great very close to the castle and it was cozy as well. The best were also very comfortable. The apartment was very clean when got in.

We were left a used toilet role from a previous guest but also the roll had hardly any toilet paper left on it. The first bedroom when you enter is extremely nosy and the lights from the street shines in. Thus we were unable to sleep. Lastly there heating was not working as you couldn’t go any higher than a certain temperature and that weekend we were there it was extremely cold.

Where to begin. This apartment is a gem. Very easy to find. Easy to get in. Regarding location, it's located on a charming little street within the medieval walled city, literally steps from a number of excellent pubs and restaurants... not to mention the castle itself is a four minute walk away.
The apartment is gorgeous and felt larger than the photos suggest. It's bright, clean, and updated with high quality furniture and appliances throughout. We were able to unload bags at the front door (since there are next to no cars on the street at any given time,) meaning we didn't feel rushed at all moving in and out — which was great for us traveling with 2 toddlers. Furthermore, we were provided with nearby parking pass for the main lot (again, a five minute walk away) and our host was in touch on a daily basis asking us if we required any assistance or support.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone looking for a memorable stay in this charming town.

The location, it was clean and comfortable.

The only negative is that it needed another bathroom, or at least another toilet because one bathroom isn’t enough for 6 people.

Really nice modern place with a good size kitchen and living room. Easy getting in. Parking close by . Nice spot in Wales.

Wasn't obvious I would have to pay an extra damage waiver and felt very pestered by this, though messages may have been more spread out if we hadn't booked so late. Once I'd paid though it was chill and the hosts were very helpful.
The information is there in small in the extra info section but intially it felt a bit scammy.

Bedrooms and living spaces were lovely, modern and comfy. It was nice to have fancy shampoo and conditioner provided, as well as tea and coffee and ideal having a bath and a shower. Having a TV and sofa in the bedroom as well as downstairs was great.
Unfortunately we didn't use the outdoor terrace as it must not have been checked since the previous guests and was covered with cigarette ends.
We were unsure about parking at first as there was no information as to where it was, being in a town, it was all double yellow lines. Once we had spoken to the company they told us it was in the town car park down the road, but this could've done with being in the handy information folder.
We would definitely stay here again.
