This little flat was just right for me and my boy to visit Clacton. The location was a 3 min walk from the beach in one direction and 3 min drive to the town centre with supermarkets, shops including B&M and Aldi, in the other direction. It was clean on arrival and the kitchen was fully equipped. Very happy to stay here. We would have breakfast then walk down to the bottom of the road and spend the morning on the beach then be able to walk back and make lunch because the flat had all the facilities. It was most convenient. The bed was too hard. My first night's sleep gave me a back ache. The duvet was way too thick for summer weather with no thinner blankets as an alternative and pillows were too thin and hurt my head. After the first night, I went to B&M to buy a mattress topper to soften the bed, two pillows which were softer than what was there and a throw blanket. I didn't want my holiday ruined by bad sleep. The WiFi was weak and the BBC iplayer kept cutting out. Lastly there was a slight issue with communication. I was told the wrong check-in time of 4pm which would have been too late to check-in. When I arrived at 3pm, the correct check-in time, the property was ready anyway so it was a non-issue that caused me an unnecessary panic. It was all fine. Maybe the operators need to be sure to give the right check-in details next time. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay again if available
