Quiet location which was perfect for us. Off street parking which was v. Safe for our car. Easy and good access to all the coast has to offer. The management company was very slow to return my phone calls regarding access to the property and with regards to a very minor problem with the TV co-ax cable. There is not a lot of room in the shared bathroom, however as stated it is a large shower with good water pressure. All in all I can happily recommend the property.

That it wasn't made clear that it is an annexe property situated above the garage to the right of the main house and the key location was to the left of the garage. There are two key locations either side of the front door that are for the main house only. Only by asking the neighbours did we find the right key location.

Convenient location to Seahouses & Bamburgh.

The main bedroom mattress was very poor.
The kitchen sink had NO bowl and the dual taps dripped constantly.
The only sofa was very soft and uncomfortable.
In general the property requires some love & attention to detail.

Very light and airy. Clean.Fantastic location.

The Jack and Jill bathroom wasn’t ideal. It was very small. Lots of spiders and cobwebs on the bedroom external doors. Teatowels hadn’t been washed and there for there was fluffy white bits everywhere. Didn’t spoil our stay.

Excellent accomodation, well equipped. excellent communication. Easy to find.

Would have liked to be closer to centre, harbour area, my fault for not checking location thoroughly, only a 20 minute walk though and worth it for standard of accommodation.

Location on fairly new small housing estate, close to the beach and 1 mile ish from Seahouses pubs, resteraunts and shops. Annexe to main property which was unoccupied while we stayed.

Little tired inside and bathroom and kitchen sufficiently clean but minor signs of cleanliness and wear and tear. Wouldn't put me off future stays but might be worth owner spending a little time with decorating and deep clean.

Locations was excellent for seahouses and bamburgh, the balcony velux window in the lounge was lovely. The apartment was modern with well equipt kitchen, good parking.

key collection was poor. The host required a deposit for breakages, we did not receive an email or message via booking app from them so had to ring to ask what the delay was and pay over the phone to gain access. Once paid they send you the code for the key safe. Not complaining about having the pay the waiver, but a phone call to check why we had not arrived or paid the waiver would have been useful? The property states toilet roll was provided, we were left 1 roll between 4 adults for a 3 day stay? The property advertised private bathroom, its actually a Jack n Jill bathroom which was a problem again for 4 adults sharing. We did have a fabulous weekend away but for the reasons above I would be reluctant to book with a host and stay property in the future. Sorry for the negative review but we rely on clear reviews for our bookings sohave no choice but to be honest.

View on a sunny day from top floor beautiful.
Close to costal path and town centre

Few slight issues with cleaning of kitchen utensils, and shower tray, windows. Bit more attention to detail.

Only real problem was bathroom dirty, both doors dirty and floor needed cleaning in corners and what looked like mould in shower around edges giving an overall grubby appearance

The views of the sea from the living room and one bedroom.

The £25 insurance payment required before my booking was confirmed. This should be factored into the upfront costs.

Very minor issues in the kitchen. Only 1 teatowel, no scissors, pot brush or cutlery drainer.
Only 1 toilet roll, which 2 ladies of a certain age managed to make it last!

The arrival instructions were extremely poor. The key box was actually on the next door property (although there was a key box visible it was for the engineer). Trying to get help from the call centre was difficult as they had the same unhelpful instructions. We were there 2 hours before we worked out were the key box was.

Great location, comfortable and cosy.

Hidden costs - damage deposit/waiver, sufficient details of this not listed on the property listing. Either £25 non refundable waiver or £250 refundable (so long as no damage occurs) but with £10 admin fee.

The beds were very comfortable, the shower was excellent, the lounge and kitchen areas are bright during the day, and well equipped. We enjoyed the log burner. The apartment as a whole is furbished to a high standard.

We felt the lounge area was lacking the option of a bright light for reading, and over the kitchen worktop after dark.

Excellent location for exploring the Northumberland Coast. The house had everything we needed for a family, really enjoyed our stay there.

I have to mark the property down for the cleanliness of the bathroom. The whole house was spotless (although the furniture in the living room has seen better days) but the bathroom really does need a deep clean especially in the shower right from the shower head to the corners of the base. Something that could be easily tackled with bleach spray.

Amanda

22/09/2023

Address needs to say Annex to main house. Nice bedrooms but small bathroom not ideal for sharing having connecting bedrooms doors . Fitted to a good standard

Not suitable for Disabled people or Elderly people as staircases are too steep, showers fungus around shower tray , the door frames to the Juliette balcony where full of dirt , Tv reception not very good No instructions on how to use oven , could do with a welcome book rather than having to look on web for details no detail of places to eat although web site said it provided details. Web page needs to be specific for that property and not just a general view

We loved the whole experience from start to finish, shame we weren't staying longer. The property was in a great location close to the resort of Seahouses with beautiful views of the sea and the Farne Islands!
It was very well designed and appointed and spotlessly clean with nice little touches such as milk sachets in the fridge if needed for that first welcome drink.
The beds were comfy, and it was so quiet, except for the wonderful sound of waves breaking on the beach.
Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxury home from home getaway!

Nothing. We loved it.

Spacious bedrooms and living area. Gorgeous views.

The shower room was very small and there was an unfortunate smell emanating from the shower. This smell permeated the bedrooms and hallway and was most off-putting. Also, two rolls of toilet paper for three people is not enough for five days.

Bright apartment close to the beach as you come into Seahouses. The accommodation is an annexe above a garage in a quiet residential area. Good parking.
Bedrooms on1st floor and living accommodation above. Fairly steep stairs to access. As it is an interconnecting bathroom between the bedrooms, you will probably want to know your companions well. Also, sound insulation between floors not great, fine if you all go to bed at the same time!
Well equipped kitchen area, provision for tea and coffee to start off, but little else.
Comfy seating area with big windows and views over to the beach. Small dining table and chairs.
We were 3 adults and young toddler. Fine for a youngster but it's up to you to watch the stairs, and you must provide own cot and high chair.
Note: Wifi ID is BT- HXCKNP
Few teething problems locating property but STAY were quick to respond.
I'd recommend this accommodation as a comfortable base to explore this part of Northumberland .

House is generally pleasant in a good location close to the beach. Well equipped overall.
Some niggles…
Misty/damp smell in and around bathroom
Loud extractor fan in bathroom that kept us awake until we found the switch to silence
Tiny bathroom and dining area. Ok for a family but unsuitable for four adults.
Mattresses too soft (for us)
Oven and hob tricky to operate- no instructions anywhere
Ridiculous amount of emails from airbnb and the agency. Airbnb emails had the wrong address.
Key box very difficult to operate.
Agency generally not recommended because A. They require extra £25 or £250 in theory refundable (minus £10) breakages deposit. Never come across this before and not very clear when booking. B. Shortly after arrival called agency with a question (in office hours) and the lady who answered was unhelpful mostly due to poor English. I much prefer dealing with owners directly. Pleased we didn’t have a serious issue!
Love Seahouses but won’t use this agency again.

Nice try.

There was a terrible stench in the tiny bathroom between the bedrooms. It was like sleeping in a latrine. We complained and have been given nothing but a run around.

Lage zum Strand. 2 Schlafzimmer, grosser Wohnzimmer mit Blick gegenüber dem Meer. Gut ausgestattet.

A very spacious modern apartment, imaginatively designed to give stunning views of the sea and the Farne Islands. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac in a modern housing development with easy access to the sea front and within walking distance of the centre of Seahouses with its shops, restaurants and Farne Island boat trips.

The damage-deposit came as a surprise as it was additional to the listed booking price and navigating the system for its payment was not straightforward. We had no direct contact with the property owners, only multiple emails from Host and Stay (I presume a specialist holiday-let management company) which were sometimes confusing.

Beautifully presented property in an excellent location - 2 minutes walk to the sandy beach and coastal path, and 10 minutes walk to the centre of the village. Property was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Would recommend it as an excellent base to explore the area.

Location and view from top windows in kitchen/living room.

I struggled to find the actual house and key pad. Knocked on next door which was also no 14. Fortunately people were in who said it was directly next door.
I would suggest a number on the door even 14A (annexe).

A lovely place to stay just outside of the main centre of Seahouses. Warm, with comfy beds which is important after days walking in windy April. Just be warned there are a lot of stairs but everything you need is in the home and we really enjoyed our time there listening to the sounds of the sea at night.

The place was found easily, the instructions were very clear. The keysafe was a little confusing but all ok once we found it. It is a 15 minute walk into Seahouses which is great.
It was clean and tidy.
I had to ring Stay as aoon as we let ourselves in because something was broken before we touched it and they made a note of it and appreciated us reporting it immediately.
We would recommend this property others.

Karen

11/03/2023

Peaceful, with beautiful views of the sea.

From the initial booking to the end of our stay, I received 22 separate emails from Booking.com and Host and Stay (management company). This was overwhelming and it was difficult to find the important ones when I need them. There was a danger of missing something important among so many communications.

John

08/03/2023

Great light and airy lounge/ kitchen area upstairs on the 2nd floor. Comfy bed. 2 bedrooms. Good facilities in the kitchen. Pleasant 10 to 15 min walk into town with a choice of restaurants. Centrally heated and cosy. House is on a small quiet estate just on the edge of the town.

If there are more than 2 adults, the bathroom facilities might be a little small but was perfect for a couple

Liz

06/03/2023

Lovely little place in a great location. HOWEVER the cleanliness wasn’t great. Strong smell of cooking and general fustiness in the kitchen, cobwebs everywhere and dirty windows which meant we couldn’t see the view. Previous reviews highlighted this but clearly not taken on board which is a shame for the owners. The £250 damages deposit required and amount of time taken for it to be refunded is ridiculous. I won’t stay here again for that reason

Josie

22/02/2023

On a brand new housing estate, in the annexe of the address. Luxurious and extremely well appointed. Many hi-tech gizmos we found challenging, from the shower to the smart TV which we never did fathom despite lots of texts with Stay! Superb location geographically.

lovely airy accommodation, done to a very good standard.

only negative the bedrooms had quite alot of cobwebs and the windows in the living area were dirty which spoils the view. Also the damage waiver deposit which is non refundable not sure that’s fair keeping that from every customer, would of been more than happy to pay a higher refundable deposit .

The apartment is an annex of the main house , it has its own parking and entrance and is well set up with everything you would have expected . The house is modern and very comfortable with good sized rooms and is in good condition.Being at the edge of the village of Seahouses it takes around 12-15 minutes to get to the harbour and shops, there is a good coastal path .Beds and towels were very good. The kitchen is well supplied with everything you would need and there is a dishwasher.

The WiFi was poor at best ,often disconnecting and failing completely.
The toilet is small and accessed from both bedrooms on the first floor .
The modern oven and cooker are digital (induction cooker plates) and without instructions were difficult to use.

This is a great place to stay at, central to shops, short walk or quick drive. Beach is a 5min walk away.

This is not a negative but more constructive feedback that could make the stay go from great to perfect.
- Broom or brush and pan for kitchen rather than to bring the big hoover up
- Bread knife, perhaps there was one before but certainly in need of one
- Tiebacks for curtains in rooms, was quite warm and a lovely breeze comes through the when windows are open but then the curtains flap around all over the place at night. When trying to sleep not great.
- Manual for washing machine would be handy not just what is in the home guide
- If waste needs to sorted for recycling purposes, provide means to do so not just a single non-compartmented bin
- Ice tray is broken but can do with an additional one or two trays

These are mean to be helpful feedback not a criticism of the place as we really enjoyed our stay

We loved the design of the property. It was so airy and the views from the living areas were very good. It was very comfortable and clean and there was a superb range of kitchen items. The smart tv was great. It was the best supplied apartment that we've ever been in.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The location was fine being on the outskirts of Seahouses, and along the road from Bamburgh. The property is located in a residential estate so is nice and quiet. Nice views from the lounge towards the sea. The apartment is adequately kitted with equipment, and the lounge furniture is comfortable enough, with the caveat that the dining table is very small and has limited access for four people due to its location in the lounge area.

The jack and Jill bathroom is extremely small, and would be extremely cosy and limited if four people were to share it. We were there with our 7 year old granddaughter and even we found it rather small and limiting.
The bathroom also had a rather stale, musty smell, and mildew was extensively evident throughout the shower tray. Better cleaning materials could readily eliminate this, but it does give it a grubby feel as it stands.

Towels were of a poorer quality also.

I

Modern, clean, very well appointed and comfortable contemporary space. Good location and lovely views from the top floor across to the farne islands. Its also very conveniently located within a short walk to both the beach and Seahouses town centre. The hosts also provided details of local restaurants and attractions nearby (Banburgh Beach is a must by the way) which we found useful having not been to the area before. I think it’s important to highlight that we had a slight delay with checking in due to a broken key however the hosts were incredibly responsive and we had a new key within 15mins. All in all, it was a 5-star experience and we’d love to come back!

Exceptional! Loved the accommodation. Light and airy with great views. Really clean. Excellent location - short walk to beach and the town. Great area to explore - coastal walks, Lindesfarne, Farne Islands. Seahouses has some good eateries too. Thanks

We had a lovely stay in this incredibly light, modern and spacious maisonette. The photos don’t do enough justice to the place! The location is perfect for accessing the beach (5 min walk) and a beautiful 20 minute stroll along the sea front into town. As it was clear one night, we were even able to star gaze through the dormer windows which was incredible!

Lovely apartment - very cleverly designed and very clean with all the facilities you need. Good location - 10 min walk into Seahouses centre and only a 3 min walk to the beach/sea. We used the log burner which was a welcome, cosy addition.

The location was lovely. The house was really nicely decorated and was very comfortable. The house is in an excellent location for access to the beach and town.

Unfortunately the house is advertised as 2 bathrooms and only has 1 which was difficult for us due to personal circumstances. The only bathroom is very small.
There is a knack to getting the key in and out of front door, and so the key ended up stuck for some time until we worked this out. After I called the company, the host did call us to offer advice, but didn't offer much advice. If you are staying here, the key seemingly fits into the door 2 ways, but gets stuck one of the ways! Keeping the keyring to your left works.
There was no corkscrew or cooking knives (only table knives). We asked the host for these. They found us a corkscrew but just told us 'well there should be' about the knives. Double checked and still not there. Still trying to liaise with Booking.com about the missing bathroom!
I frequently stay in other places and this just lacked the hospitality and personal touches others did for the same price, not to mention we thought we were paying for 2 bathrooms and there was only one.

Close to sea and centre, view of the sea, comfy beds, light and airy.

Needed to check tv function with owners, referred to agent. Firstly told a reply would come in two days. Had to phone again later and be more insistent that we needed a simple answer asap.
No sharp vegetable knife.
A softer side light in seating area would make it more cosy.

Great little place for a night or two and just a 5 min walk to the beach. Only thing that’s let’s it down is the lack of water pressure, so best not flush the toilet or run a tap while someone is in the shower, as the shower literally stops! Otherwise a really nice place.

We enjoyed our stay at Castle View.

A spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped apartment in a fantastic location - beach, harbour, castle & amenities. We also enjoyed the sea views from the lounge. However, the en-suite is quite small.

Overall a fab stay and location to explore Northumberland.
