The Space
Clearmount Cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard, offering ideal accommodation for small groups or families.

This two-story home features a spacious, bright living and dining room with direct access to several outdoor spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The modern and spacious kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need for a self-catering stay.

The living room is a comfortable space featuring two large sofas, a bay window, and a flat screen TV with Freeview channels and streaming apps. This is the ideal space for relaxing evenings with your loved ones. Sharing the living space is a cosy dining area with a modern wooden table with grey fabric chairs and wooden bench.

Open the bi-fold doors from the living and dining space and let the fresh Dorset air flood in, whilst you enjoy home cooked meals with your guests. Step outside and you’ll discover large front and back gardens running alongside the Rodwell Trail. In this space, on the lower level, there is a brick patio with a glass dining table and chairs. Up the steps is a small breakfast terrace with a couple of chairs and a small table where you can enjoy a morning coffee. Further up the wooden steps at the top of the garden is a large sunny decked area with another glass dining table and chairs looking down towards the house along with a hammock.

At the side of the cottage is a large outbuilding where you can store any kayaks, paddleboards and bikes. There are also several beach umbrellas, chairs and windbreaks which can be borrowed during your stay.

The sunny, secluded cottage-style front garden is mainly lawn with mature shrubs and hedging. It features several apple trees, including one with a children’s swing, and you can approach this area via a series of stepping stones. There are two recliner chairs and a garden bench, plus an outdoor table tennis set.

Clearmount Cottage features three bedrooms - one double, one king and one super-king bed downstairs. The ground floor bedroom has direct garden access via a stable-door and features an ensuite shower room, whilst the first-floor bedrooms have access to share a bathroom boasting a bathtub and separate walk-in shower as well as a double sink vanity unit . Both bathrooms also offer a WC and basin.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Clearmount Cottage is located just a 20-minute stroll from Weymouth’s famous Blue Flag beach, known for its soft sand and shallow waters, ideal for families and sun-seekers alike. The Esplanade, a bustling promenade, is lined with traditional seaside attractions, including quaint cafes, ice cream parlours, and shops selling everything from souvenirs to locally crafted goods.

Weymouth boasts a fascinating maritime history, with the dramatic ruins of King Henry VIII’s Sandfoot Castle just a stone’s throw from the cottage, together with the Tudor House Museum which highlights the town’s past. Whilst visiting the castle, take time to stop off at Sandsfoot Café to admire the pretty castle gardens and beyond to the Isle of Portland.

The nearby award-winning Victorian Nothe Fort provides not only an interactive historical experience in the maze of underground tunnels for all ages to enjoy but also breathtaking views.

The surrounding Dorset countryside offers endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Just along from Clearmount Cottage you can join the Rodwell Trail to walk or cycle to Portland and Chesil Beach, one of Dorset’s most iconic landmarks. The South West Coast Path, which runs through Weymouth, is perfect for walkers looking to explore the rugged beauty of the Jurassic Coast. A short drive away, you'll find the natural wonders of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, must-see landmarks that showcase the area's unique geology.

Weymouth is also a haven for food lovers. Fresh seafood is a local speciality, and the town is home to a range of eateries, from cosy pubs serving traditional British fare to fine dining restaurants offering contemporary cuisine. Don’t miss the chance to sample fish and chips by the harbour, or treat yourself to an afternoon cream tea with a view of the sea.

Getting Around
Public transport links make it easy to explore the wider area, with regular services to nearby towns and attractions.

Weymouth Train Station has regular services operating to Bournemouth, Bristol, Dorchester, London, Poole, Southampton, Wareham, Winchester and Woking.

Bus routes can be found running to Dorchester, Swanage and Wareham.

Bournemouth International Airport is 29 miles away from Weymouth.
